Wide-ranging experience brought Sophie Reyre to jewellery. She became a journalist, then a novelist. She has a passion for India (where she adopted her daughter) and for jewellery, especially the work of such 20th-century innovators as Boivin, Verdura, Seaman Schepps and others. She studied Chinese calligraphy, went to courses at the Institut de Gemmologie in Paris, learned jewellery design, and decided to start her own business. And here is her first collection, with pieces made to her own design by the same fine French craftsmen as work for the great Paris jewellers.
